AB Communication & Repair Ltd, trading as Techsite (“we”), respects your privacy and follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Your name, email, phone number and delivery and billing addresses when you order, contact us or create an account.
- Order details: what you bought, delivery and payment status. Card payments are handled by our payment providers; we don’t store your full card number.
- When you sell or trade in a device: your contact details, photo ID details, bank account for payment, and the device details (including IMEI or serial number).
- How you use our website, through cookies and similar technology (for example pages viewed and items added to your cart).
How we use it
- To process and deliver your orders, returns, repairs, warranty claims and trade-ins.
- To contact you about your order, account or device.
- To keep records we need for our business, accounts and tax.
- To prevent fraud and the sale of stolen devices.
- To improve our website and, if you agree, to send you offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run our business: our online store platform (Shopify), payment providers, couriers, our email service, and our accountants. We may also share it where the law requires, for example with the Police. Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand; we use providers who protect it to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
Advertising and cookies
We use cookies for the website to work (such as your cart) and to measure and improve our advertising, including Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and keep it only as long as we need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email support@techsite.co.nz. If you’re not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
